Indigenous Film Production Company
"A space to promote the cinematic voice of Indigenous peoples, with stories that transcend borders."
Learn more about who we are
At Anakaa Films, we are a film and audiovisual production company. We are Wayuu Indigenous people, passionate about telling stories rooted in our culture, identity, and collective memory as the Wayuu people. We have also journeyed through the territories of other Indigenous communities to amplify the voices of their communicators and filmmakers, promoting their ideas, dreams, and ancestral knowledge. Our mission is to strengthen cultural identity, foster recognition of diversity, and contribute to social and cultural development, as well as the preservation of memory through an introspective lens.
We walk and weave alongside Red de Comunicación of the Wayuu People, Putchimaajana.
