Ako’yolowaa – Covering the soul It explores the love that transcends all, from the Wayuu people's cosmovision. Ana Atencio, a 50-year-old woman, lost her son seven years ago. Due to the social and political instability at the border between Colombia and Venezuela, marked by the state of emergency in 2017, which was misused by the Venezuelan government to commit abuses, Ana was forced to bury him in Maracaibo, far from her ancestral land in La Guajira, Colombia.

Synopsis
Due to the social and political instability at the border between Colombia and Venezuela, marked by the state of emergency in 2017, which was misused by the Venezuelan government to commit abuses, Ana was forced to bury him in Maracaibo, far from her ancestral land in La Guajira, Colombia.
Now, Ana and her family embark on a journey back from the south of La Guajira to the north to carry out the ancestral ritual: the exhumation of her son's remains. This act, rooted in Wayuu spirituality, represents a final farewell to his soul.
During this process, the family has kept a secret for years. The paternal uncles of her son finally decide to tell his grandmother, who was part of his upbringing and until now was unaware of his death due to the fear of affecting her health. This revelation will allow her to attend the second wake and say goodbye to her grandson.
